Christmas Wish

All of the team want to say thanks for all your support over the year. So many of our jobs start with clients who, more often than not,  end up being great mates. We all want to wish you and your families a very safe and enjoyable festive season.   See you all in the new Year.

Mt Cook Wedding

Lucy and Mastafa came out to Mt Cook from Essex England to get married in the great outdoors. The weather was perfect. Our Pilot Tim  Coldicott from the Helicopter Line said it was the first day for a number of days  that the winds hadn't blown in the mountains. Our couple were delightful and as usual first word out of the Helicopter at the top of the Liebig Dome was "Wow". Mind you they all say that. Amber from the Hermitage at Mt Cook was the Wedding planner and Dennis our celebrant. He just keeps coming up with fabulous clothes for the occasion. We brought the flowers through from the team at the Greenroom in Wanaka, and yes Charlotte, they still looked wonderful on the day. It was another wonderful wedding. We had a great day. Hard to imagine this job as work. We love it!

January we have lots of weddings and two of them  are in Queenstown February we are over there 4 times plus Wanaka and Te Anau and one in Dunedin. So a busy few months coming up for the team.

Lookout Lodge Wedding

It was yet another very hot but windy day for Mr and Mrs Coplands wedding on Saturday. Photos were taken before the wedding at the Lakefront with Family and a few more formals shots taken after the Ceremony.  Again a day full of fun and laughs with a great couple along with Wendy Cathy Dan and Si.  Bev Clark was our Celebrant for the day.

Wanaka Wedding

Jacinta and Grant had their Wedding Ceremony in Wanaka Station park on Friday. From what we understand the whole family had spent the past three months getting the three cars ready for the wedding day. Jacinta got ready in Cromwell and travelled through, Grant got ready in Wanaka. We did video and photos and  the cars coming through the lane to the park with the sun coming through the trees looked so good. Jacinta and Grant had their formal shoot at Wanaka Station Park and at Waterfall Creek.. The reception was at Edgewater. Congratulations to Grant, one of the funniest wedding speeches we have  heard for a while.

Twizel Wedding

It was another very warm day for our photo shoot with Laura and Roger. At times around 28 degrees down by Lake Pukaki. They took their dog Bailey with them and we did the formal photos before the ceremony which was held at the Rowing Centre at Lake Ruataniwha. We visited the canals and several scenic spots that Rog and Laura had chosen some time ago. Another day full of laughs and fun. (who said this was a job).

Queenstown Weddings

Judging by the large number of bookings we have for Queenstown weddings for 2011 and  2012, its going to be Queenstowns wedding season  year. We have met with so many Brides and taken so many bookings for that period  that anyone planning getting married in Queenstown later in 2011 or in 2012, will have to be in quick to secure services such as venues and Celebrants. Queenstown Gardens are still the number one choice for wedding ceremonies, followed closely by Stoneridge Estate and  the Skyline Restaurant. Remember if you are planning your wedding in Queenstown, because we have done so many there, we are very happy to put up a website with images from different venues to give you an idea of formal photo shoots for your Queenstown Wedding, to give you an idea of what your photos will look like at different venues. Just email the girls at info@aspiringphotography.co.nz and they will get back to you with a link and a password to your own venue website.

Queenstown Wedding This Week

Talking about Queenstown weddings, we have a team going to cover an "elopement wedding" next week. The wedding is being held on the shores of the lake. Sam and Pip are coming out from Sydney to tie to knot.

Marketing and Websites

We have a client in Christchurch who we are doing a lot of marketing and website work for and who needed images for the large walls in his shop and for the Website. He was very specific about what he wanted and after looking at several locations from the West Coast to Dunedin Coastline we sent Jeremy away to the Catlins to get the required images. Here are some samples of what he brought home.
