A Busy Weekend
This weekend is going to be a very busy one for the team at Aspiring Photography. Friday we have a big wedding at Wanaka Station Park. Jacinta and Grant are holding their ceremony in the park and reception at Edgewater in the pavilion and on Saturday Jo and Andrew are getting married at Lookout Lodge. Both weddings include video so the whole team is involved. On Sunday we are doing yet another family portrait sitting. We have taken Amanda's family portraits twice already but as the family and the children grow she keeps updating her images.
Mt Cook Wedding
We had an adventurous, and very emotional and funny day with Allison and Peter who came down from Auckland to have there wedding at Mt Cook. The afternoon started with a 4 Wheel Drive trip up the Tasman Valley with Graham from Tasman Valley 4WDs . Dennis, their celebrant, had chosen for their ceremony, a beautiful little glade near the end of the Old Bull Track because it was sheltered and had a backdrop of the Mt Cook Lillies. The Ceremony was very emotional, with surprise emails being read and also a beautiful poem which Peter had written for Allison. On the way back we kept getting Graham to stop for more photos. There is something so special about the Mt Cook area for wedding ceremonies and we always end up with so many beautiful images. Heres a few of them. Thanks Peter and Allison, for a wonderful day. We cant wait for you to come down to Wanaka.

Yesterday we uploaded the website for Lee and Kate. All our couples get their own web gallery to share with their friends. We did the photography for their wedding a few weeks back. Just got an email from Kate.

Lake Wanaka Wedding images

Queenstown Lakes Wedding
Well despite weather predictions for some rain in the afternoon, the weather was perfect for Angela and Pete's wedding. They had their ceremony at the Wanaka Station park with Ralph Fegan the celebrant. We did a fun formal shoot at the Wanaka Station Park, at the playground in Wanaka and we did some rural shots at old buildings around the area. It was a fun romantic day and when we uploaded and backed up the images last night, there are some beautiful images. We will post some photos next week. Hermitage Mt Cook Wedding Photographer
The Hermitage at Aoraki Mt Cook organise so many weddings every year for couples coming out from overseas. Aspiring Photography is now the official photographers for all weddings held and hosted by The Hermitage Hotel. We work in closely with their wedding planner and organiser Amber. We did Ambers wedding around two years ago when she and Andrew got married at Twizel. We have wedding bookings for Mt Cook for up to two years already and after being voted the most beautiful place in the world to be married by British press they will continue to get lots of interest from overseas and heaps of New Zealand enquiries , in fact the couple getting married there next week are from Auckland. Lots of the weddings are held on the snow with quite romantic dinners being organised by the team at The Hermitage. It really is a fabulous place to be married.
Another Wanaka Wedding
What a day we had with Jo , Andy and their friends. Temp for the Ceremony at Lookout Lodge was about 500 degrees, but all credit to the guys, they kept their three piece suits on. There were many many laughs through the day and again we covered the day with still and video photography and we made so many new friends. A fabulous day with a great bunch of people. Thanks to Jo and Andy, all their friends and families and the team from the Lookout Lodge. It was a long and very happy day.
Wanaka Station Park Wedding
It was a beautiful hot, calm spring day for Keri and Lindsay's wedding in Wanaka Station Park. Keri arrived in a stunning 1960's Mustang through the avenue of trees. They were supported by their children, Ebony, Blake and Kate and married by celebrant Jools McKnight. The photos were shot in the surrounds of the Wanaka Station Park in front of the beautiful spring flowers. Formal photos were shot around Lake Wanaka and marina. The reception was held at the Albert Town Tavern. Thank you Keri and Lindsay for including us in your special day and the children for making it such an enjoyable experience!
